We are especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home! We treat patients like family and put your needs first to achieve efficient, comprehensive treatment. We all have worked together, from 4 years to 34 years, and enjoy what we do. Our staff is trained, skilled and strives to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Each member of our treatment team is a Registered Assistant, and our office staff has years of experience treating patients with the highest level of care. We attend numerous meetings, ranging from the American Association of Orthodontists annual meeting to orthodontic office retreats with offices from around the country to software training seminars, to stay current with the latest advancements in the field of orthodontics.

I've had the opportunity to work with Dr. Kurt and his great staff for over 6 years and now consider them my family. My position as Account Manager involves handling accounts receivable, insurance, filing and numerous miscellaneous functions along with the opportunity to interact with the patients and parents. I have lived and worked in the Kansas City North area for 45 years. I'm blessed to have a great family and two awesome grandchildren, my pride and joy. I enjoy taking care of my home, traveling, warm weather and spending time with my family and friends.

I have had the privilege of working with Dr. Kurt for the past 29 years. I am currently the Patient Coordinator and a Certified Expanded Functions Orthodontics Assistant. It is very rewarding to see the end results – beautiful smiles! I am married and have six children (four boys, two girls), two grandsons, and three granddaughters who keep me very busy. I love to golf, snow ski, garden, and enjoy traveling to the beaches and mountains. I find donating time to Global Orphan Project (a mission established by my brother that provides care for orphans in third world countries) to be most rewarding. My seven brothers and sisters, co-workers and golf girls are considered part of my large extended family. I enjoy the holidays and the large gatherings they provide.

I have worked in orthodontics since 1989. I became certified in Expanded Functions in April 2001. I have three beautiful daughters and have been married to my wonderful husband since 1981. I love to travel, scuba dive, and do anything that involves the ocean or beach. I also love to cook and work out in the yard. I come from a large family and enjoy our big family gatherings.

Working in the orthodontic world has been a wonderful adventure and learning experience for me. New to this job since July 2008, I have really enjoyed becoming part of this working family. I have been an Administrative Assistant in education for 18 years. I was born and raised in Lawson, Missouri and I'm still close to my roots. I have four children, one girl and three boys. I also have two grandchildren, one of whom was adopted from China, and she has Na Na wrapped around her finger. I love spending time with my family and cooking for everyone. Working and volunteering for special needs children and adults is very important to me.

Kelley – Kelly has short blond hair and is wearing a black shirt.

I am an Expanded Functions Orthodontic Assistant. I have worked in orthodontics since 2003. I was born in Georgia and lived there until June 2008 when my family and I moved to Missouri. I am married and have one son and one daughter. We also have a family pet Dachshund named Sassy. My hobbies are cooking, working in my yard, and spending time with my family.

I have worked in orthodontics since 1996 and became Expanded Functions Certified in 1999. I am originally from Lathrop, Missouri, but now live in the Northland with my husband and two sons. I enjoy cooking for my family and friends, and I love to travel to beaches anywhere. It is very rewarding being part of the Kavanaugh team and changing lives by creating beautiful smiles.

Working in the public relations and marketing industry for 28 years has prepared me for my position as Office Manager and Public Relations Coordinator. Kearney has been our home for the past 15 years. Our son and his wife also live in Kearney. Cooking, quilting, gardening and scrapbooking are my hobbies. My whole family also raises Boer goats that we show at various ABGA shows.

Working in orthodontics has been a great change for me, having had a position in insurance billing for 15 years previously. I really enjoy working with the patients and their families. Our family transferred to Kansas City four years ago from Kentucky, and it has been wonderful. My husband and I have a daughter who keeps us very busy. As a family, we all enjoy running and participate in several Kansas City races together.

I have entered my 30th year in dentistry and have a passion for orthodontics. My two children are my greatest accomplishments, and my four grandchildren are the loves of my life. I’m a country girl and enjoy taking care of my two Labs, two cats and eight chickens. In the summer, I can be found outside gardening or swimming. In the winter, I’m watching my beloved Steelers and the Chiefs.
